Coaches & Managers

One of the essential functions of coaches and team managers is to manage team communications with players and their families.  If you are a coach or team manager, SportsEngine has created a Team Management Guide for Coaches and Team Managers to help you use our website and mobile app to efficiently and effectively communicate and manage your teams.

Pure Baseball Requirement

After you're registered with SportsEngine, all on-field volunteers must be USA Baseball Pure Baseball certified.

You can register for an account at, the certification and sports development site for USA Baseball—the national governing body for amateur baseball in the U.S.

Once registered, visit the "My Profile" link at the top, then click on "View Certifications". On the Certifications site, find the Pure Baseball certification. Enroll in it and complete the background check and online course.

To confirm, you would take the Abuse Awareness for Adults online course and the Standard Background Check.

The background check is free for you—Delwood will cover the cost of it—but please get the promo code from us so all of the accounting stuff works out!
