Welcome to Delwood Sports

Welcome to the home of Delwood Sports. We offer PONY baseball and softball for ages 4-14 and a growing soccer program.

Spring 2022

We're now open for baseball registration!

The season will begin with practice in mid-to-late February with games starting in March.

COVID Protocols

As of the Fall 2021 season. Pending updates for Spring 2022.

  1. All participants (players, parents, etc) will be encouraged to wear masks while visiting Delwood.
  2. Delwood will provide hand sanitizer/wipes, masks, and gloves (COVID packs) to each head coach for all sports and enough for each participant.  Delwood will also carry additional safety materials in the concession area in case coaches run low.
  3. Delwood will mark appropriate spacing spots for the concession stand area and will sell only packaged products like:
    1. Bags of chips
    2. Wrapped candy
    3. Bottled water/Gatorade
  4. Delwood volunteers working in the concession stand area will be required to wear masks and gloves.  The use of debit/credit cards will be encouraged.

The following will be shared and discussed at the mandatory volunteer youth baseball/softball meeting.  This applies to both home and visiting teams.

  1. Limit spectators to 1 per player for practices.  Encourage minimum spectators for games.
  2. Players will have their temperature taken before participating in the practice or game.  If the player has a temperature of 100.4 or higher, the player will not be able to participate and be asked to leave. Delwood players will follow CDC guidelines on player's return.
  3. Players and coaches will be required to wear face masks and sit spaced out as much as possible while in the dugout when both the team is at bat or on the field.  Masks can be removed when taking the field to bat or play defense.  If parents wish to have their specific player wear a mask at all times, we will accommodate that wish. Coaches are encouraged to wear masks when closely interacting with players.
  4. Players are encouraged to bring their own equipment like bats and helmets.  If a player does not bring their own equipment and needs to borrow another player’s, the dugout volunteer will wipe down the equipment to be used.
  5. Dugouts will be cleaned of any trash after every game.
  6. After game refreshments must be factory wrapped/sealed (ex. Bags of chips, bottled water/Gatorade, granola bars, etc).
